Disclaimer: If typos and horrible grammar cause you physical pain...this blog is not for you (you have been warned). ;) <<< Smiley/winky face means, I was being sarcastic (but, not really). ;)
HEY! I'm Tiffany. I'm an artist with a passion for
photography. My journey with photography started back in 2007 while I was in
college working on my fine art degree (Shout out to my NSU alumni, especially
the art kids!). << I do those (parenthesis) symbols often. It makes me
feel like I’m telling you a secret (so, I do it!). Sorry, I also digress easily
(very easily). While attending school I was in the graphic design program. I
found it extremely frustrating and non productive to sit for hours searching
through stock photography (I believe photographs are the best graphics...oh and
type! I love typography!). I got to the point where my design work was limited
because the images I had available to design with were well “stock.” I thought,
“Hey, why don’t I just create my own images!” So I did and, I can say that it
was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I LOVE photography! It’s my
favorite medium to create from. I still use my graphic design skills on a daily
bases with album design, promotional ads, and branding. I find that my design aesthetic
is prominent in my photography and editing style. I’m really an art geek at
heart.
In 2009 I graduated with my BFA; bachelor
of fine art degree in graphic design, photography, and a minor in art history
(ugh, that sounds so pretentious – I do that sometimes ;) ). That same year I
started my photography business “hotshot photography” I didn’t set out to be a
business owner it kind of just happened along with that awful name (Remember
that pretentious comment?). I finally decided to make the switch to just plain
ole “Tiffany Meeks.” I’m still working on branding and a new website. I felt
like I started hotshot without a clear idea of whom I was as an artist or what type of
portraiture I wanted to create. Now having dabbled into a few different types
of portrait photography I now know what interest and inspires me. I feel like I’ve been hiding behind
something or trying to be something that wasn’t/isn’t me. Now with this name
change I feel like the real Tiffany Meeks can stand up (Slim Shady?). I’m
really good at being me…here is to a new adventure of even greater
self-discovery.
Here is what the new branding is looking like (I'm super excited)!
To see my old/current website you can view it here: www.hotshot-photography.com or in the tabs menu under "website".
You’re awesome…I’m awesome. Let’s be awesome together!

Oh my, how exciting! I love the new branding! You're amazing!
